Spicy Black Bean "Hummus"

from Grimm Family Farm

I tried a sample of this when we visited an Iowa Valley Food Co-Op open house. A bit on the salty side, it was nonetheless yummy!

INGREDIENTS
2 c cooked Grimm Family Farm black beans, drained
1/4 c fresh salsa
1/4 c fresh cilantro, including stems
2 T fresh lime juice
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp kosher salt

METHOD
Place all the ingredients in a food processor and pulsate until the black beans and cilantro are nearly blended. Add up to a tablespoon of water to thin the hummus if necessary.

Serve with tortilla chips or fresh cut vegetables like bell pepper strips, cucumbers, zucchini, celery, snap peas, or carrots.
